Challenging area question – 4 quarter circles and a square Posted on September 17, 2013December 8, 2015 by Wallace Maths tip: Here’s a challenging area question.

P.S can’t write centimetres squared so will be using cm(2) Ans.:9.12 2cm*3=6 2cm*2=4 1/4*4cm*4cm*3.14=12.56cm(2) (medium quadrant) 1/4*6cm*6cm*3.14=28.26cm(2) (large quadrant) 1/4*2cm*2cm*3.14=3.14cm(2) (small quadrant) 1/2*2cm*2cm=2cm(2) 3.14cm(2)-2cm(2)=1.14cm(2) 1/2 *4cm*4cm=8cm(2) 12.56cm(2)-8cm(2)=4.56cm(2) 4cm*4cm=16cm(2) 16cm(2)-12.56cm(2)=3.44cm(2) 2(2cm*2cm)=8cm 1.14cm(2)+4.56cm(2)+2cm(2)+8cm(2)+3.44cm(2)=19.14cm(2) 28.26cm(2)-19.14cm(2)=9.12cm(2)(ANS)

I’m waiting.. For like 2 years for the answer…

P.S can’t write centimetres squared so will be using cm(2)

Ans.:9.12

2cm*3=6

2cm*2=4

1/4*4cm*4cm*3.14=12.56cm(2) (medium quadrant)

1/4*6cm*6cm*3.14=28.26cm(2) (large quadrant)

1/4*2cm*2cm*3.14=3.14cm(2) (small quadrant)

1/2*2cm*2cm=2cm(2)

3.14cm(2)-2cm(2)=1.14cm(2)

1/2 *4cm*4cm=8cm(2)

12.56cm(2)-8cm(2)=4.56cm(2)

4cm*4cm=16cm(2)

16cm(2)-12.56cm(2)=3.44cm(2)

2(2cm*2cm)=8cm

1.14cm(2)+4.56cm(2)+2cm(2)+8cm(2)+3.44cm(2)=19.14cm(2)

28.26cm(2)-19.14cm(2)=9.12cm(2)(ANS)

Is it correct?
