However, I have no complaints because I have a lot to be thankful for.
A LOT.
I am saying this because I have been at the receiving end of so much kindness it’s hard not to feel contented and appreciative.
1. When we first announced we were starting classes, a parent, who is a fan on our page, messaged us to say she has a lot of primary school guidebooks/assessment books that she wanted to pass to us. And she did give us MANY useful materials.
Even though we are complete strangers to her.

2. I don’t usually mention this page to my friends because the sole goal is to help students and parents of primary school kids. This project was brought up during a chat at one of my routine gatherings with this university clique recently and guess what, all of them liked the page the next day. And it’s not that they needed to know about primary school syllabus (they are either single or have one-year old kids)- it’s purely to support me. How fabulous are they!
3. I e-mailed the parents of my lower primary English class, informing them that I intend to bring the children for excursions in February so that I can engage them, get them exposed to museums, teach them how to speak in public and let them have lots of fun as “reporters on the field.”
Today, I received an e-mail from one of the parents, advising me to get them to sign consent forms to protect ourselves in case of disputes. That was a super sweet gesture.
4. Last but not least, the constant support by the fans on Facebook and parents e-mailing us to let us know that their kids enjoyed our classes are the best reward ever after a hard day’s work.
So yes, thank you for all the goodwill you have shown us. It proves that our decision to pursue this passion is a right one.
Thank you again and we won’t fail you.
