Science tip: There are tiny pores on the leaves of a plant called stomata (singular called stoma) where gaseous exchange can occur. Most water loss occurs through the stomata. This explains why when leaves are covered in oil, the water that a plant uses decreases.
Maths tip: Some questions seem so convoluted it makes you wonder who invents these. Know your hats!
The PSLE is over, but we will continue to provide tips. 🙂 This is because we have students who are still taking exams in the other levels and more importantly, we believe one shouldn’t stop learning. Hope the tips are relevant and useful. 🙂
Science tip: Many questions are about the conservation of energy. Remember that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only converted into other forms of energy. Answers must also be very specific. Instead of saying “The toy car eventually came to a stop because the kinetic energy was lost to its surroundings” you have to specify[…]
English tip: When you use “For example”, you already refer to a partial list. There’s no need to put “etc” at the end of the sentence if you have used “for example”; it’s redundant. English tip: When to use past perfect tense: 1. Something occurred before another action in the past/Something happened before a specific time in the past.
