At Study Room, we are always eager to challenge our students intellectually, force them to question in a bid to make studying more stimulating and fun.
A couple of months ago, I was teaching secondary students how to use vernier calipers. It’s a little dated considering digital ones are more common and work better. Nonetheless, it’s part of the syllabus so we still need to learn it.
To make it more interactive, I created a template so students can make a larger-than-scale model to make learning more fun and also easier to understand.

This year, a student egged me on to make an even bigger one.
Challenge accepted.
After half an hour, I now have a bigger and better demo set. 💪
Perhaps my determination to make better model sets for them can spur them to explore the contents to challenge me further. 🤣
