Exposing Students to Arts

Brought the P1-2 students to the Singapore Art Museum yesterday for the Singapore Biennale.

I was actually impressed by some of the students’ interpretation of the art pieces. For instance, when I asked them about the art piece on the top right of this photo, they alerted me to the scales on the drawing and described how it morphs into a dolphin. It’s never too early to get them exposed to the arts.

Initially, I wanted them to just write about their experience to the museum. Surprisingly, all of them voted and insisted on interviewing museum visitors for their stories! They spoke to a few tourists and guess what, the interviewees praised them for raising good questions and a great job!

So proud of these excellent students!
