Highlights of our first working weekend
1. Totally got rid of any jetlag from the holidays
After 11 hours of lessons, we slept like a log after classes. 😏
2. A graduate of Study Room visited.
Because we have forged friendships here, we are always very happy when an old boy visits.
He made a Pythagoras cup and gave it to us! Glad he’s adjusting well to high school!
3. A parent emailed.
“My S1 boy asked when Study Room classes are starting and I was like uhh, I didn’t sign u up. He said the classes were fun and useful. Should I have enroll him now or when he can’t cope?”
Told her I was obviously going to be biased and shared the pros and cons with her, and told her it’s good that the S1 child is initiating this and not forced by the parents. If the child is forced, I would have given a different answer.
More importantly, the email made my day. Regardless whether he joins us eventually, I am glad the child has volunteered to join our classes. Hopefully, that means we are doing something right.
