We chanced upon a website when we were searching for activities for the housewarming. There was a very talented and kind seven-year old girl who was selling rainbow looms for charity. All of her proceeds are used to purchase grocery packs for needy families.
Our housewarming activities should reflect what we stand for- it must be fun, educational and meaningful, if possible.
So we approached the girl’s mother. The Study Room will make a donation to the charity of her choice and the young girl would teach our guests how to make rainbow looms! It would be killing two birds with one stone- the children will get to make their own rainbow looms and we can do a good deed at the same time.
So far on our list, besides the making of rainbow looms, we have also planned the following: facepainting, balloon sculpting, tattooing, scrabble games. I hope the children will enjoy them!
We will also have food, so do come with an empty stomach.
