While we don’t have the budget to fly our students overseas, we are able to get them in tune with what’s happening with the other side of the world with the news and technology.
I was explaining the recent NYC blizzard to my students today with a newspaper article and got my friend living in the Big Apple to talk to them via FaceTime. He explained how living through a blizzard was like and even showed them the condition of the weather outside his house via his laptop.
Hope my students learnt more than English today and gain an interest in knowing more about the world’s affairs.
